Thursday, August 13, 2009 |
Shamika Fannie Baker, 22, was riding her bicycle on College Parkway near Bellerive Drive when a Ford E-350 van hit her about 8:46 p.m.
Baker, of 1204 Latrobe Drive in Annapolis, had serious head injuries and was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Police are still investigating the accident and haven't charged Shane Robert Killeen,42, of 1678 Secretariat Drive in Annapolis, who was driving the van. But investigators believe Killeen's drinking contributed to the crash.
